ADR Network SA will be running monthly breakfast events around topics related to ADR, Restorative Justice, Mediation and Peacemaking
This month’s theme is PRACTICAL RESTORATIVE PRACTICES that promote Restorative Justice in Legal Disputes and Restorative Discipline in schools and workplaces

When? Wednesday, 3 June 2015 at 8am
What? Over breakfast we will present ideas on practical restorative practices that support Restorative Justice and Restorative Discipline
Why? We think justice is all about making things right again. And so if we are not promoting a justice in our legal system and a discipline in our schools and workplaces that restores, redeems and heals than we are probably not part of the solution, but part of the dis-ease
It is possible that we are indelibly changed by one encounter. By one word. We never know whom we may meet or what we may hear. One encounter may thrust us into the larger story of our lives. Or we may just share a good breakfast with a great view over the valley of 1000 hills. Either way, you should come!

2. TRAINING IN JUNE
22-26 June is 5 day Training in Durban/Jozi/CT (the latter two contingent on minimum numbers)
Please send a mail to training@adr-networksa.co.za if you still wish to register. Remember the Thursday of each program is Court Annexed Mediation which can be done as a one day workshop at R 1000 for those with previous training in mediation
3. Current Matters
This week I am preparing papers in the matter of a complaint to the Judicial Services Commission relating to a High Court Judge as well as a complaint to the Gender Commission relating to a Minister in the Cabinet. Can we adopt a restorative stance when lodging complaints and calling leaders to account? Absolutely. I’ll publish the papers once finalized
