Dear Sheena,

As per our discussion this
morning, there is a growing demand for ADR across South
Africa, and with this in mind, our efforts over
the next few months would have to be on building more capacity and growing the
ADR-Network SA panellists in order to service this demand.

The
finalisation of the Access to Justice foundation will increase the demand
further. I believe we have been receiving quite a few enquiries regarding the
training program that we host, and I think it would be good if we can get some
indication of their interest in our training program with a view of building
capacity over the next few weeks and months.

Of course, on successful
completion of the programme the trainees will have the option of becoming
panellists, after which we can start referring mediation work to them as the
network grows.

Ideally, we are looking for individuals who are passionate
enough to make a full-time career as ADR practitioners.

Is it possible
for us to contact all those who enquired into our programme and get the
following information in order for us to let those who are interested know when
we have workshops in their area:

1. Full names
2. E-mail Address
3.
Contact number(s)
4. Address (Suburb, City, Province)
5. Industry
currently employed in/studying

The above can be sent to
training@adr-networksa.co.za with ‘workshop’ in the subject line.

I am
also in the process of looking into the creation of systems that will be able to
handle the increased amount of cases in future and to implement standard
operating procedures for such case handling.

This really is exciting
times for ADR, as we see a growing shift in focus from adversarial ways to
methods that emphasize restorative justice.

Please do not hesitate should
you require more information on any of the above.

Kind
regards/Vriendelike Groete
