Adv. Nthabiseng Sepanya Mogale

Holds B.A (Social Work); LLB and LLM in Human Rights & Constitutional Law from the University of the Witwatersrand. An Advocate of the High Court of South Africa since 2006. Has post graduate qualifications in Human Rights Litigation and Legislative Drafting from local and international universities. Currently the Chairperson of the Commission for Gender Equality(CGE) appointed in 2023, after serving as a part-time Commissioner at the same institutions. She is also the Chairperson of the Good Governance and Social Ethics committee of the CGE Plenary. A member of South African Women in Law (SAWLA). Held various senior positions in all tiers of government. Worked as a Co-ordinator of the Reparations and Rehabilitation Committee of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Has a passion for social justice especially involving the protection and promotion of the rights of women. A certified mediator.
