Lee Wade

Lee Wade is an accomplished Family Law and Divorce Mediator, executive coach, and motivational speaker with extensive experience in mental wellness, relationship management, and conflict resolution. With over 15 years of professional practice, Lee combines psychosocial and holistic approaches with legal expertise to support individuals and families through complex personal and legal matters.


She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work (with Merit) from the University of Central Lancashire (UK), as well as a BA (Hons) in Education and Social Care and a Foundation Degree in Child Development. Her qualifications have been formally verified by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA), ensuring alignment with national professional standards.


Lee's broad-ranging expertise spans youth criminal justice, child protection, education, counselling, and child development. She is particularly recognised for her work in child assessments, the development of parenting plans, and conducting voice of the child interviews. Her mediation work is complemented by formal training in restorative justice and legal mediation, certified by the Law Society of South Africa.


As the founder of Matio Mediation SA, Lee has built a platform dedicated to promoting family-centred dispute resolution and mental wellness. Her impact extends beyond her practice, with roles as a guest lecturer, public speaker, and diversity and transformation facilitator. She has featured on national media platforms including ENCA, 702, Mix FM, Radio Pulpit, and SABC, and contributed to public campaigns such as the 16 Days of Activism.


Her commitment to advocacy is evident through her volunteer work with the TEARS Foundation, where she has provided trauma counselling, facilitated gender-based violence (GBV) training, and supported fundraising efforts. Internationally, she volunteered with the ALS Society in British Columbia, gaining over 100 hours of experience in client care and community engagement.


Lee Wade is known for her compassionate approach, excellent communication and facilitation skills, and dedication to creating safe, supportive environments for families and vulnerable individuals. Through her work, she continues to inspire change, promote healing, and champion the voices of those often unheard.
