Adv. Francois Opperman
I have graduated with a BA (Law) and LLB from the University of the Western Cape and obtained a Master’s Degree in Corporate Law with UNISA. I joined the Pretoria Society of Advocates in 2003 after completing pupillage and passing the National Bar Examination. After an absence of 7 years working within the legal and compliance space, I joined the Johannesburg Society of Advocates in 2011and has practiced as an advocate since then. I have excelled in the personal injury space and had successes with RAF, PRASA, Minister of Police and medical negligence matters, amongst others. I have completed a mediation training certificate through Mediation in Motion accredited by UCT and am an accredited Mediator. I have also been acting as a Judge in the Gauteng Local Division for 10 weeks sitting in the RAF Default Judgment court for 6 weeks as well as the civil trial and motion courts for 4 weeks since 2023.
