Adv. Mamokete Ramoshaba

QUALIFICATION: BA Communication Science, Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Advanced Diploma in Labour Law, Masters Diploma in Human Resources Management, Postgraduate Diploma in Drafting and Interpretation of Contracts, attended the Stellenbosch School for Executive Development and is a Certified Civil Mediator.

Johannesburg-born Advocate Mamokete Ramoshaba has an interesting career trajectory, which started in the public service for many years where she occupied various roles in labour relations and general management. She underwent Aspirant Prosecutor training as a member of the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) and became a State Advocate for the NPA, focusing on sexual offences and domestic violence cases. She went to join the state-owned entities, Mintek and Sentech, as a General Manager: Corporate Services and Company Secretary, respectively. She then later served pupillage at the Johannesburg Bar Society of Advocates in 2013 under the Bridge Group of Advocates. Adv Ramoshaba practiced as an advocate from 2013 to 2017 focusing on civil litigation and labour law, amongst others. She later joined the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) from 2017 to 2025 as their Senior Forensic Lawyer, Head of Investigations and later as a Senior Manager: Civil Litigation where she was actively in charge of civil cases. She gained a lot of experience in dealing with cases of fraud, theft, money laundering, maladministration and corruption within state institutions. She had also been involved in Alternative Dispute Resolution where she acted as a panelist for the Electrical Engineering Bargaining Council and a chairperson’s panelist for the North-West University. Her colleagues acknowledge her work ethic and attention to detail and diligence in executing her work. She is known as “mama action” because of her energy, tenacity and compassion in ensuring that she delivers quality work within a short space of time. She is ambitious, adventurous and a very caring practitioner and an advocate for justice. She is also a Certified Mediator and currently a member of the Pan African Bar Association of South Africa.
