Adv. Nico Swart

Adv Swart obtained his LLB degree at University of Pretoria, during 1990, he kept on expanding his knowledge with further study at UJ (tax), Unisa (business Rescue) Wits (Mining and Prospecting), NWU (environmental Law)

He was admitted as an attorney in 1992, and as an advocate in 1999. He became a member of the Pretoria Bar (Society of Advocates) in 1999.

Adv Swart has thus been admitted as a Legal Practitioner for approximately 30 years and practising as counsel for approximately 26 years.

During his practice as an attorney and advocate, Adv Swart dealt with criminal, civil, divorce, RAF and an extensive array of medical negligence matters.

Adv Swart appeared in the Supreme court of Appeal on several occasions and appeared regularly at insolvency inquiries.

His focus in practice is trial advocacy, and he also lectured at UNISA, gave training to attorney’s and was actively involved in the training of pupils (also from other Bars), colleagues and university students. He has in this regard been trained by the General Council of the Bar (“GCB”) as an advanced advocacy trainer. This entails that he regularly trained colleagues at the GCB’s advocacy training courses.

Adv Swart qualified as a Mediator through UP in conjunction with AFSA.
