Adv. Zainoon Ebrahim Mahomed
Advocate Zainoon Ebrahim Mahomed is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in litigation, legal drafting, and contract law. Practising as an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa since 2018, she has developed a broad portfolio spanning banking law, third-party (RAF) matters, divorce law, deceased estates, residential and commercial evictions, and general litigation.
Zainoon began her career at Maponya Inc. as a Candidate Attorney, before co-founding Mahomed and Omar Inc., where she managed client relations, contract drafting, and litigation in both the High and Magistrates Courts. Following her pupillage with the Pretoria Society of Advocates, she was admitted to the Bar in 2016, passing her exams on her first attempt.
Her practice is characterised by analytical precision, tenacity, and a commitment to excellence. She has appeared in both motion and trial courts, drafted complex legal memoranda and contracts, and contributed to reportable judgments, including Standard Bank of South Africa v Lamont (2022) in the field of banking law.
Zainoon holds an LLB from the University of Pretoria, alongside specialist qualifications in insolvency law, cross-examination, contract drafting, and civil mediation. Beyond the courtroom, she enjoys travelling, socialising, self-defence, and keeping abreast of current affairs.
