Annalize Hyman

Annalize Hyman is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa (Gauteng Division, Pretoria), admitted on 25 July 2002, with over 15 years' post-admission experience in civil litigation, Road Accident Fund (RAF), personal injury, motor , and legal costs matters.

She has recently completed a DiSAC-accredited 40-hour Civil Mediation Training Programme through the Law Society of South Africa (L.E.A.D.), compliant with the Department of Justice draft standards for Civil Mediation and the requirements of the Gauteng Division High Court Mediation Protocol (April 2025).

Annalize brings a rare 360-degree perspective to RAF and personal injury mediation, having served in the following capacities throughout her career:

· Senior Litigation Officer at the Road Accident Fund (Pretoria) — managing high-value RAF claims, assessing merits and quantum, negotiating settlements, and supervising panel attorneys and experts;

· RAF Panel Attorney (Mothle Jooma Sabdia Inc.) — representing the RAF in High Court litigation, drafting merits and quantum opinions, and participating in settlement negotiations;

· Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney (Hyman Attorneys) — representing accident victims in High Court and Magistrates' Court RAF matters and general civil litigation; and

· Legal Costs Consultant — drafting, presenting, and opposing high-value Bills of Cost in RAF and civil litigation matters, with particular expertise in resolving cost-related settlement impasses.
