Gerrit Maritz completed his BLC &LLB degrees at the university of Pretoria. He started his legal career as a Public prosecutor is Johannesburg and the East Rand. After leaving this profession, he gained extensive experience as a legal advisor for a major insurance company. He was admitted as an attorney in 1993.

As the senior partner in a major law firm for over 20 years, he specialized in:

Civil litigation,

Criminal law,

RAF matters,

Divorces & Maintenance,

Labor law,

General litigation.

Gerrit completed mediation courses at:

Mediation Academy

Mediation in Motion.

He was also a commissioner in the Small claims court for over 10 years.

He is known for his  professional and impartial approach to all people and matters.

He is also a qualified  facilitator, assessor moderator and registered plumber with a vast knowledge of the artisan and training industry including all relevant industry regulations.
