With over 23 years’ experience Ivan Ka-Mbonane is a highly regarded attorney specialising in Labour Law, Public Sector Law, Commercial and Corporate Law, Property law and Environmental Law. Ivan holds a Master's Degree in Corporate Law, an LLB Degree, and several additional qualifications, including a Post Graduate Diploma in Contracts Drafting and Interpretation, a National Diploma in Public Administration and Management, a Certificate in Thought Leadership from the Thabo Mbeki Leadership Institute and a certificate in Mediation from the Legal Practice Council.

Ivan is passionate about training and mentoring the next generation of legal professionals. Over a period of 15 years, he has lectured at the Legal Education and Development (LEAD), helping young attorneys develop critical skills. He is particularly committed to capacitating labour law practitioners believing that well-trained professionals play a key role in the maintenance of discipline in the workplace and promoting labour peace.

Ivan is passionate about mediation and has recently attended a course in mediation offered by the Legal Practice Council. Ivan has represented clients in various arbitration matters. In addition to mediation and arbitration experience, Ivan has extensive experience in litigation.

Ivan believes that most of the disputes of the clogging the court roll are capable of being mediated. With his extensive experience in dispute resolution, Ivan is in a position to mediate a variety of disputes in a cost-effective manner.
